MAMMOTH The 5th Annual MAMMOTH FILM FESTIVAL(MFF) is an annual international winter film festival held in Mammoth Lakes, California, home to the Mammoth Mountain ski resort and located just a short drive or flight from Los Angeles. This unique event features a trademark elimination-style tournament where films compete head-to-head to qualify for the Festival's top honor, Best Picture. Described as "American Idol for filmmakers" and deemed "Worth the Fee" byMovieMaker, MFF features five film competitions and 13 awards and accepts a broad range of films in its feature, short, green, faith-based, and extreme sports categories. Feature films are seeded in four genre brackets: Documentary, Comedy/Musical, Drama, and Foreign Film. Winners are determined by audience vote and progress through each round, gaining additional screenings and exposure. Winners receive prize packages, which in past seasons have included optional distribution setup through New World Digital's worldwide network of physical and digital partners, Mammoth ski vacation packages, and subscriptions to trade publications. What's more, MFF also features an out-of-competition screening series which allows filmmakers to present their films even if they do not qualify for any of the seeded categories.

BACK IN THE BOX The Los Angeles-based, 3rd Annual BACK IN THE BOX COMPETITION (BIB) recognizes that too many great works go unproduced every year and that emerging talents need a dedicated showcase and platform for exposure. BIB helps four lucky winners bring their ideas to life, fulfill their visions, and secure production or distribution deals. Entrants will compete for over $5,000 USD in cash awards, and will have the opportunity to work directly with Fernleif Productions (MIND GAMES; DANTE'S INFERNO) to maximize exposure for their work, which could include obtaining production contracts for screenplays or distribution contracts for completed features and shorts. BIB will widely promote its winning projects with the ultimate goal of obtaining worldwide distribution. What's more, screenplays that don't win the top honor will also be considered for production deals or future collaboration. Many past winners, finalists, and semi-finalists have already signed agreements with Fernleif Productions or have had their work produced and are now touring the festival circuit.
